We are pleased to announce that our CEO, Katie Crotty, has been accepted in the 2014 class of the Truman Defense Council! This distinctive leadership development program is just one component of The Truman National Security Project, a national security leadership institute based in Washington D.C. The Council convenes military veterans from the business community and government for exclusive, training, conferences, and access to high-level conversations about national security, foreign policy, and veterans issues.
“Our newest Defense Council members join an outstanding and accomplished community of military veterans and defense experts,” said Truman’s Director of Leadership Development, Caitlin Howarth, in an official Praescient press release. “This exceptional group brings unique skills to policy, politics and the private sector, demonstrating that values firmly held and tested are the foundation for leadership today.”
“I learned how to be an effective and engaging leader while serving alongside dedicated professionals in the Army,” Katie said upon learning of her induction. This experience has enabled me to lead a team that makes an impact in the community, and I am looking forward to working directly with other leaders to advocate for a multifaceted approach to global security.”
We at Praescient understand the unique skill sets that veterans can bring to bear to achieve business success. Katie’s acceptance into the Defense Council is the latest example of how our veterans represent the bedrock of our company’s success.
