Contract provides Marines with intelligence analysis platform to integrate disparate data sources, form cohesive intel picture for mission readiness
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – JAN 24, 2019: Praescient Analytics announced today the award of a $45 million contract from the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) to deploy an advanced analytics software solution for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic. Under the contract, Praescient will partner with IBM (NYSE: IBM) and other subcontractors Esri, Point Duty, and Rosoka. The single-award contract was competitively procured through a full and open competition.
Praescient will provide its Advanced Analytics Solution (A2S) that includes processing, exploiting and analyzing all-source intelligence data. Along with its partners, Praescient has configured commercial off-the-shelf technology that’s been integrated and cyber-hardened to enable Marines to analyze and exploit intelligence wherever they are deployed.
Key features of A2S include an architecture that supports operations in disconnected environments; automated text analytics; geo-spatial analysis; automatic report generation, ad-hoc data imports, analyst collaboration, advanced tooling for external data access, data replication and sub-setting.
Praescient’s A2S uses IBMs i2 intelligence analysis software, an open platform with built-in analytics that enables rapid on-boarding of new data sources as well as integration with existing systems to produce actionable intelligence. A2S allows the USMC to consolidate many of its own intelligence systems or add new technology components without dependence on any single vendor.
“We are thrilled with this opportunity to team with IBM and our other partners and confident that our A2S open solution will help strengthen SSC Atlantic’s mission and its capabilities,” said Yvonne Soto, Praescient’s chief operating officer and co-founder.
The power of real-time analytics helps Praescient create an environment in which intelligence is deciphered instantly, generating more effective and accurate responses. Arming decision-makers with the information they need in a timely manner is critical for mission readiness and success.
“With Praescient, we’re providing Marines with a powerful capability purpose-built to support the intelligence life cycle. The flexible, high-grade functionality of IBM’s i2 empowers Marines to make better decisions in the most challenging of circumstances,” said Sam Gordy, general manager, IBM U.S. Federal.
