Praescient’s A3S Team and ENODO Global accurately forecasted the rebel group RENAMO’s attacks on Mozambique transportation infrastructure in Sofala and tracked the movement of Indigenous Displaced Persons in near real-time. Our analysts also tracked a local populations’ grievances toward resettlement and were able to forecast community impact in Cabo Delgado where construction of a Liquid Natural Gas facility was scheduled to begin.

Praescient’s A3S Team and ENODO worked together to monitor unrest and protest events events related to the June 21st election in Mauritania. Amid human rights violations and suspicions of election fraud, fears of famine further strained the status of the country’s vulnerable populations. A3S and ENODO used their persistent media monitoring capabilities to closely track risk factors and recommend a course of action to mitigate risk.

In a project sponsored by The McCain Institute, Praescient’s A3S Team and scholars from the Arizona State University School of Social Work’s Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention Research presented the findings of a joint effort to investigate sex trafficking leading up to and during the 2014 Superbowl. The culmination of this partnership was the production of a comprehensive report.

In early May of 2013, the A3S Team sent a representative to Symposium on Meeting the Needs of Child Trafficking Survivors, held at the campus of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. This team member joined more than 300 of the leading voices in the conversation around exploited and trafficked children. Praescient brought a technology-centric perspective to the symposium, contributing several salient points in the report about how software tools can be used to track and even thwart trafficking operations.
The report was primarily authored by scholars from The Advisory Council on Child Trafficking and the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
