Praescient Analytics was founded in September of 2011 by a small team of analysts, engineers, and entrepreneurs. We had just a few customers at that time, focused especially on supporting forward-deployed Army and Marine units in Southern Afghanistan. We had so few staff members in fact, that CEO Katie Crotty herself deployed to the front lines to provide critical support to one of these units. Although the company has grown by leaps and bounds in the past 24 months, every member of the team has retained the dedication our CEO displayed in those early days.
Praescient staff members have found themselves supporting the critical national security missions of the intelligence community, federal law enforcement agencies, and warfighters around the world. Our team has contributed to such diverse efforts as investigating “green on blue” attacks, hunting down dangerous and violent criminals, and preventing the flow of illegal narcotics. With so many of our people coming from armed forces, law enforcement and intelligence backgrounds, integrating with these clients has always been second nature.
Recently, we’ve been excited to expand into the commercial realm, providing analytical insights and support to private industry clients aimed at increasing their the bottom line and protecting their sensitive network infrastructure. We’re also proud to offer a range of comprehensive cybersecurity services, leveraging the analysis expertise of our team in the online realm. Praescient personnel have already provided critical support to a network security team at one of the United States’ largest banks, helping to develop new analytic workflows and methodologies that provided enhanced, active cyber defenses to supplement existing data feeds on potential threats.
Praescient’s leadership has adapted well to this new set of challenges, gracefully departing from the sometimes rigid (but absolutely necessary) ways of thinking that permeate national security and law enforcement organizations. By partnering with innovative technology companies such as Kapow Software, Palantir Technologies, Recorded Future, and RedOwl Analytics, Praescient is in a better position than ever to offer top tier analysis and implementation services to our new clients in the public space and to our long-standing customers in the government and military. We encourage anyone in need of experienced and savvy analysts for help tackling their tough data challenges to contact us at a3s@praescientanalytics.com.
We are also looking forward to offering a range of certification and training courses to an even wider audience in the near future. Built out from a customized curriculum two years in the making, these classes will help users of all levels of competency and needs to get the most out of all kinds of analytical platforms. Keep an eye on our site for an announcement about our training service in the coming weeks.
As always, feel free to share your thoughts with our leaders as we celebrate this anniversary. Our success over these past two years is a testament to our mission: to to employ the best minds using the best analytic technologies to solve complex information challenges.
