We’re proud to announce that Praescient Analytics has been designated as a Virginia Values Veterans certified organization! Yesterday, February 11th, 2014, our Vice President of Services Bill Wall and Deputy Director of Capabilities Josh Gearheart traveled to Richmond, VA to accept this prestigious accolade on behalf of Praescient. Virginia Values Veterans, or V3 as it is known, is an initiative created by The Virginia Department of Veterans Services aimed at providing Virginia-area businesses with the education, tools, and resources needed to employ veterans. Through these partnerships, the V3 program seeks to address the state-wide issue of veteran unemployment. Over 160 organizations have been certified to date and new companies, governmental agencies, and non-profits are making commitments to hiring veterans all the time.

One of the most important aspects of the V3 program is a quantifiable commitment to employing veterans. Participating organizations must commit to hiring a certian amount of prior service members throughout the calendar year. Praescient, an organization that’s already 60% veterans, is proud to have committed to hiring a total of eight veterans in 2014. We are extremely confident that we will bring even more qualified former members of the armed forces on board. Most of all, we’re excited to contribute in a new way to addressing the epidemic of veteran unemployment. Participating in the V3 program is also a great compliment to our own PV1 initiative.
VP Bill Wall, upon returning from the award presentation, stated:
“As a Virginia resident and a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, I was especially proud to represent Praescient Analytics, a Veteran Owned Small Business, in receiving V3 Certification from the Virginia Secretary of Veteran Affairs Admiral John Harvey. More importantly, I am proud to work for a company that is actively renewing our commitment to support veteran hiring. The veterans who fought our nation’s wars over the past 13 years have already earned our gratitude and respect, now its our turn to demonstrate that respect by supporting veteran hiring with the same dedication to them that they have shown to us.”
